IDS was appointed to provide the full technical design from concept stage, for a new build data centre campus in the Netherlands. The data centre campus when complete is expected to deliver 125Mw of IT load.
The initial phase one design comprised 8 new technology “white” spaces in 6 separate buildings and included the support infrastructure buildings providing both the production and facility infrastructure.
The design included the following primary system elements:
- Production infrastructure design
- Facility infrastructure design
- Internal containment systems
- External telecom ducts and chamber systems
- Structured cabling systems
- Radio Over IP
- Cellular DAS
- Wi-Fi
- EPMS
- BAS
The design was completed using Revit to include all telecom elements in a combined AE team coordinated 3D model.
IDS undertook the full construction administration works following the design phases, working alongside the appointed General Contractor and clients project team.
The project was completed successfully in 2016.
